Ronnie Laws — Pressure Sensitive ... CD 7.99

Classic bit of 70's fusion, played by Ronnie on tenor and flute, and with a group that includes some excellent keyboard work by Joe Sample. The highlight of the record is the big sample cut "Tidal Wave", but it also includes the great groover "Always There", which was covered a million times over by other bands during the 70's. Wayne Henderson produced, and the record is an archetypal example of his "At Home Productions" sound.  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Brilliant work throughout – the last studio album ever cut by Lee Morgan, and a mindblowing session that always leaves us wondering how massive he would have become if he hadn't been tragically murdered shortly after it was recorded! John Coltrane's classic – and only – recording as a leader for Blue Note! The album's no throwaway date, though – as it stands strongly with both Coltrane's other label work of the time, and with the best of the late 50s Blue Note scene – a time when the label was really ... LP, Vinyl record album

Ok, so we hate Marian McPartland, both as a pianist and a radio announcer, but this LP kicks, and is waaaaay different from anything she ever did! Dave Bailey's on drums, and Ben Tucker's on bass, and the two of them kick her in the ass enough so that she really starts to jam on this set of bossa ... LP, Vinyl record album

Live In San Francisco
Impulse, 1966. Near Mint- Gatefold
A great counterpart to some of Archie Shepp's studio albums for Impulse – a live date recorded in San Francisco, with a slightly freer, sharper edge!
