Now Is The Time For Hearts & Flowers (180 gram pressing)
LP (Item 607826) Capitol/4 Men With Beards, 1967 — Condition: New Copy
Folk rock into country roots – a great collection of work from little-remembered mid 60s Capitol act Hearts & Flowers! The group have a Byrds-era sound that brings together folksy styles and new influences from country music – an approach that would be done much more slickly later in the LA scene, but which is presented here with an honest, earnest approach that's really wonderful – a sound that's often a fair bit earthier than work by The Byrds or Graham Parsons, but which also has some occasional sunshine pop touches as well, especially in the trio's great harmonies. Titles include "Rain Rain", "View From Ward 3", "Now Is The Time", "Save Some Time", "10,000 Sunsets", and "Reason To Believe". © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
