Blowfly At The Movies
LP (Item 45471) Weird World, Mid 70s — Condition: New Copy
The Blowfly groove meets the sound of the blacksploitation generation! Blow's always pretty great on these classic recordings, but he does an even better job here – singing funky parodies of 70s action films, as well as other soul hits from the same era – in a way that's a great parody on some of the bigger movies of the time. The band's nice and tight – hitting some funky lines on the drum and bass parts, as Blow sings over the top in his crazily raspy voice. Not one to play for your parents – but a great party record for anyone else! Titles include "Superfly", "Cross 110th Street", "The Ghetto", "Freddy's Dick Is Dead", "Funky Spermy Days", "Trouble Man", and "The God-Father". © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
