A great hard blowing quartet session, with a sound that's back to pure jazz, and played with the rhythm section of Jimmy Garrison and Elvin Jones, plus the tenor of Dewey Redman. The sound is beautifully hard, and Redman is in top form throughout! Tracks include "Toy Dance", "Round Trip", and "We Now Interrupt for a Commercial". (70s pressing. Cover has a cut corner, ring & edge wear, some stains, and some pen inside the gatefold.)  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Stating The Case
Jazz Anthology, Early 60s. Very Good+
Live early 60s recording of Ornette, without the sidemen listed. The vibe here is pretty wide open, even for Ornette, where the group seems to be taking off on fully improvised material, without the themes and structures in some of Ornette's other work. The setting seems to vary from multiple ... LP, Vinyl record album

Excellent early work by organist Reuben Wilson – recorded for Blue Note, with a tight jazz funk vibe! A classic by Big John Patton! Sweet and soulful early work from Stanley Turrentine – one of the few albums he recorded in the early 60s with wife Shirley Scott – then one of the greatest female organ players in the business! A landmark session that features two of the greatest tenor talents to emerge from the rich Chicago scene of the 50s!
