A rollicking 70s comedy score from the team of Guido & Maurizio De Angelis – quite a change from the harder sounds of their more familiar crime soundtracks! The album begins with some short tunes that are plenty playful – almost a 70s take on some of the more whimsical melodies you might find in Italian cinema of the early 60s – such as in the work of Nino Rota. Other tracks start to shift the mood a bit, but in ways that are a bit more contemporary – sometimes using slight funky touches or keyboards, but then quickly returning to more traditional fare in the end. CD features a total of 28 short tunes in all! (Limited to 1500 copies.)  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Cinevox (Italy), 1969. New Copy
Sublime work from Piero Piccioni – a really Morricone-like soundtrack, and one that's filled with hauntingly beautiful melodies! There's a lightly gliding feel to the record that's really wonderful – light lines on organ, topped with wordless vocals from Edda Dell'Orso and I Cantori ... CD

Mondo Di Notte Oggi
GDM (Italy), 1975. New Copy
A sexy Euro soundtrack from the 70s – penned for a film that's apparently filled with lots of scantily clad showgirls! The style is totally sweet – often heavy on the keyboards, or on the strings – slightly slinky one minute, then soaring to the skies in a Love Unlimited ... CD

Gemelli/Cometa (Italy), Late 60s. New Copy
A lost set of crime jazz from the 60s – originally released as a rare sound library set by composer Gino Marinuzzi! The music here has a quality that's more like American jazz scoring of the early part of the decade – with lots of sharp woodwinds and plenty of highly percussive moments ... CD

Le Ruffian
Beat (Italy), 1983. New Copy
A very unusual soundtrack from Ennio Morricone – scored for an adventure drama starring Lino Ventura as Le Ruffian! For the music, Morricone is sort of filling the shoes of Francois De Roubaix – who composed previously for the film's director Jose Giovanni, but had passed away before ... CD

A great new soundtrack from the legendary Fabio Frizzi – proof that he hasn't lost any of his talents over the course of his many years in film scoring! The music has a really timeless feel – almost more late 70s/early 80s than you'd expect from the more recent vintage of the film ... CD

A wild one from Italian soundtrack composer Piero Umiliani – a set that definitely lives up to the disco promise of the title, but which still has some of the cool playful touches of Umiliani's work in movies too! The record may well be the funkiest that Piero ever cut – and was done ... CD
