A treasure trove of work from the Bolivian scene – and further proof that South America had some really amazing sounds happening at the start of the 70s! As with the Peruvian and Argentine scene, the music here really takes off from familiar rock elements – going way past the simple Anglo copycat modes of a few years before, to add in some regional elements with folkloric twists, and some particularly amazing homegrown production techniques that seem to make even the most basic tunes come across with a wicked, almost sinister sort of energy!
