CD (Item 606102) RCA/Cherry Pop (UK), 1987 — Condition: New Copy

Classic crossover soul from Five Star – one of the best of their generation for this sort of groove – and a UK group who also pick up plenty of tips from the best American acts of the time! This mid 80s set was partly produced in LA by Dennis Lambert, and partly produced back home by the group – who have more than enough ear to get things right in the studio, and ensure that the quality level of the set stays high throughout. Most numbers are filled with catchy hooks that are perfect for the youthful vocals of the group – and titles include "Somewhere Somebody", "Whenever You're Ready", "Strong As Steel", "Read Between The Lines", "Made Out Of Love", "Ain't Whatcha Do", and "Knock Twice". CD features 4 bonus tracks – "Whenever You're Ready (New York mix)", "Somewhere Somebody (Pettibone rmx)", "How Dare You (Stay Out Of My Life)", and "Five Star Hit Mix".  © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc.
