Frantic (with bonus tracks)
CD (Item 599555) Film Score Monthly, 1988 — Condition: New Copy
A great Ennio Morricone soundtrack from the 80s – not nearly as famous as some of his bigger-name Hollywood scores of the time – but that's one of the reasons why it sounds so great! There's a quality here that often goes back to some of Morricone's best European styles of the generation before – a bit of the action of Le Professional, some of the floating strings of the early 70s thrillers, and some slight atonality that marks his great contribution to horror scoring – all handled without too much mainstream slickness, and a great respect for the best sounds the maestro has to offer! Titles include "Nocturne For Michelle", "Frantic", "On The Roofs Of Paris", "One Flugel Horn", "Six Short Interludes", and "The Paris Project" – plus the vocal tune "I'm Gonna Lose You" sung by Simply Red. CD features a lot more bonus tracks – 12 more titles from the film, with almost 30 minutes of extra music – all wrapped up in a great high-quality Film Score package! © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
