18 classic recordings that defined the Rat Pack sound of the 60s – featuring classic work by Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Sammy Davis Jr! The key track here is the title theme to the film Oceans Eleven – the sweeeeeet "Eee-O-Eleven", sung by Sammy D, and pretty tough to find elsewhere. The other tracks include some nice little numbers from Frank, Sammy, and Dean – nice finger-snapping groovers that include some very hip tunes that don't show up on other reissues. Tracks include "Sittin On Top Of the World", "Ain't That A Kick In The Head", and "When You're Smiling" by Dean; "The Tender Trap", "I'm Gonna Live Till I Die", and "Mr Success" by Frank; plus "A Lot of Living To Do" by Sammy, "Me & My Shadow" by Frank & Sammy, and "Sam's Song" by Dean & Sammy! (Out of print. Barcode has a cutout mark.)  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.

A pivotal set from Cassanda Wilson – and a record that firmly established her as one of the freshest new singers in jazz at the time! The album's awash in rootsy, dusky tones – and has an earthiness that's clearly inspired by older blues, but expressed by Cassandra in voicings that are ... CD

Trend-setting vocal work from Oscar Brown Jr – one of the hippest singers of his generation, and a vocalist who really took things to the next level in the 60s! Brown's got a sound that's partially influenced by the vocalese of Eddie Jefferson, Jon Hendricks, and other singers of the 50s ... CD

A fantastic album – with a really groovy approach! The record is the only one we've ever seen from arranger Jean Leccia – and it's got a two-vocal lead approach that's pretty darn great. Soul singer Pat Henderson joins up with male vocalist Ed Whiting – in a style that's part ... CD
