A beautifully moody score from Stelvio Cipriani – a perfect illustration of his unique talent for creating sounds that are slow, yet funky – slinky, yet never cheesy – a rare and wonderful approach to tension and action in the 70s! Most numbers here have a slow-stepping electric bassline – moving very gently, to prompt other instrumentation on piano, guitar, or even fuller strings – all in gently melodic ways that work perfectly with the rhythms – and have a quality that's warmly dramatic, and never overdone – different than some of Cipriani's crime or sex scoring. CD features the full original album, beautifully remastered, plus tracks from singles too – a beautiful set throughout!
