A beautifully moody score from Stelvio Cipriani – a perfect illustration of his unique talent for creating sounds that are slow, yet funky – slinky, yet never cheesy – a rare and wonderful approach to tension and action in the 70s! Most numbers here have a slow-stepping electric bassline – moving very gently, to prompt other instrumentation on piano, guitar, or even fuller strings – all in gently melodic ways that work perfectly with the rhythms – and have a quality that's warmly dramatic, and never overdone – different than some of Cipriani's crime or sex scoring. CD features the full original album, beautifully remastered, plus tracks from singles too – a beautiful set throughout! (Limited edition – with bonus download card.)  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.

La Supplente Va In Citta
Beat (Italy), 1979. New Copy
A sweet score for this Italian sex comedy of the late 70s – put together with a great mix of disco and more playful styles from the great Stelvio Cipriani! Cipriani virtually invented the slinky, sexy European soundtrack a few years before – so here, he updates his style a bit for the ... CD

Libidine
Beat (Italy), 1979. New Copy
Libidinous grooves from the great Stelvio Cipriani – a set of tracks that hangs nicely between a late 70s club style and some of the slinkier sounds we've heard on Stelvio's other work! The album's got a vibe that definitely lives up to its image and title – and although the first few ... CD

A very goofy film – as you'd no doubt guess from the cover image – scored with some equally mad music from the great Piero Umiliani! The music's got a lot more exotic touches than you'd usually hear from Umiliani – almost echoes of the blood and sandals genre of Italian scoring ... CD

Enfantasme
Beat (Italy), 1978. New Copy
A cool late 70s soundtrack from Stelvio Cipriani – for the Italian & French co-production Enfantasme – a film we know little about, but with a nicely dramatic score that dabbles a bit on spacier 70s Euro sounds! There's a bit of electric piano and Moogy sounds, along with more ... CD

Papaya Dei Caraibi
Chris' Soundtrack Corner (Germany), 1978. New Copy
Sexy sounds from the Italian scene of the 70s – music that's every bit as warmly erotic as you'd imagine from the cover! But as you might guess from Stelvio Cipriani, there's also a nice undercurrent of funk, too – kind of a gentle groove that's almost like some Euro sound library cuts ... CD

Digitmovies (Italy), 1957. New Copy
A mix of old school soundtrack modes from Giorgio Fabor – that great blend of jazzy instrumentation and more sentimental modes that you'd find in Italian films of the 50s! The style's a bit less lean than Italian modes of the next decade, but still very expressive in a way that's different ... CD
