Wonderful later work from these two Swedish jazz legends – reedmen whose paths have crossed often over the years, blowing together beautifully in a really sympathetic setting! There's wonderful saxophone interplay on nearly every number – as Domnerus plays mostly alto on the record, and just a bit of his famous clarinet – and Rosengren plays tenor on almost every track, save one, which features some great flute! Rhythms are very laidback and open – really letting the main energy come from the reed players – a nice testament to the talents of Jan Lundgren on piano, Hans Backenroth on bass, and Aage Tangaard on drums.
