Groundbreaking jazz from the Finnish scene at the start of the 70s – and a key illustration of the way that Finland really few the flag of fusion high at the time! The music is a wonderful criss-crossing of acoustic and electric elements – never too jamming, and definitely with the same sense of complexity that Miles Davis was bringing to the Bitches Brew generation – especially in the way that the rhythms move across the set with an energy that would hardly have been imagined in jazz a few years before! All tracks are nice and long, and the set features many players who'd later go onto greater fame in the Love Records world, heard here at their youthful best – a lineup that includes Mike Koskinen on trumpet, Pekka Poyry on soprano sax and alto, Juhani Aaltonen on tenor, Heikki Sarmanto on Fender Rhodes, and Edward Vesala on drums – on titles that include "Made Up Story", "PS DC", "M&M", and "Odds Against Intervals".  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.
