LP (Item 623736) Heritage (Belgium), Late 50s/Early 60s — Condition: New Copy

A rare album of Italian jazz and vocals – headlined by the beautiful singer Lilian Terry – and featuring some of finest Italian players of the era! Lillian Terry Presenta Abito Da Sara features recordings made for late 50s television – although we believe that the record didn't come out until the early 60s – and it's really wonderful stuff! There's a a bit of a laidback, playful spirit, though it's done with absolute top notch musicianship – with lovely singing by Lilian and some fine male vcols on some tunes – and players include Gianni Basso on sax, Franco Cerri on guitar, Gianni Cazzola on percussion, Pupo De Luca on drums and Oscar Valdambrini on trumpet to name a few – plus piano and arrangements by Enrico Intra. Titles include "Fever", "Nardis", "Trabop", "Pittura", "Che Ora E", "Le Tue Cigla", "Coltrane Style", "La Mia Ragazza", "Come In Un Valzer", "Lui S'Ammalava In Guerra", "Beviamoci Sopra (One For My Baby)" and more.  © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc.
