Amazing late nite vocals from Ilene Woods – a singer we only know from this classic album on Jubilee! The record's that great sort that hardly ever got made much in later years – one of those dreamy late 50s sessions that floats along with effortless ease – pillowy backdrops from Bill Clifton, and light vocals from Ilene that sparkle with a sort of magic that's wonderful – never too over-emotive, never too blue-tinged – just in the right mode for the melancholy mood of the songs.
