Quite a surprising little soundtrack – one that starts with a burst of machine gun fire, but then comes across with some totally great mellow moments we never would have expected from the wartime setting of the film! There's some great use of organ in the mix – spare, stark, and spooky – often drawn out with these dark tones that create a nice sense of tension, but in ways that are quite different from more familiar dramatic film scores of the time – almost sci-fi in feeling at points, in ways that continue to make the music a real surprise throughout! Some points still have more familiar military modes – the odd staccato snare used to underscore action – but overall the whole thing is pretty darn fresh. Titles include "Positivo", "Incontro Alla Morte", "L'Ultimo Panzer", "Ultimatum", "Assalto Al Panzer", "Aspri Pianoforti", and "Il Mio Grandissimo Amore".
