Hank Mobley's Message
LP (Item 60398) Prestige, Late 50s — Condition: New Copy
Excellent early hard bop from Mobley – perhaps not as tightly conceived as his mid 60s genius work on Blue Note, but excellent nonetheless! The group's an open-ended one in the Prestige blowing session mode, and includes Donald Byrd, Jackie McLean, Barry Harris, and Art Taylor. Tracks are all around 6 minutes long, and tighter than your usual blowing session jam. Titles include "Minor Disturbance", "Au Prive", "Little Girl Blue", and "Alternating Current". © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
