Jamaican Soul 1968 to 1978
CD (Item 607891) Kingston Sounds/Jamaican Recordings (UK), Late 60s/1970s — Condition: New Copy
Jamaican soul from singer Pat Kelly – bringing a epth of stateside falsetto soul influences –- as filtered through the incredible Kingston sound of the time! There's some interpretations of Curtis Mayfield, James Carr and another couple of recognizable cover versions – some in a bit of rocksteady style, all of it nicely done – with Pat's voice carrying all of the material masterfully. Includes "It's A Good Day", "I'm So Proud", "Little Boy Blue", "Talk About Love", 'Give Love A Try", "What Am I To Do", "Twelfth Of Never", "Queen End Of The Street" and more. CD has 4 bonus tracks: "There Comes A Time", "Daddy Is Hoe", "When A Boy Is In Love" and "You Send Me". © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
