The Mulatu performance for the Timeless live series – the already legendary concerts organized by Mochilla in honor of influential composers J Dilla, Mulatu and Arthur Verocai – this one headlined by Mulatu himself! The evening was hosted by Eothen "Egon" Alapatt and Garth Trinidid – with Mulatu fronting a group featuring Bennie Maupin, Azar Lawrence, Phil Ranelin, Miguel Atwood-Ferguson, Trevor Ware, Alan Lightner, Munyungo Jackson, Tony Austin and others. They perform classic Ethiopian jazz funk composed and arranged by Mulatu, and the set includes "Yekermo Sew", "The Radcliffe", "Kasalefkut Hulu", "I Faram Gami", "Munaye", "Yekatit", "Mulatu" and "Ebo Lala". Comes in a nice, heavy duty package from the performance separately on a CD and DVD. (Individual performances from the Timeless box set – featuring the performance on CD and DVD! DVD is NTSC coded, Region 0.)  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.
