CD (Item 615644) A&M (Japan), 1970 — Condition: New Copy

A breezy set of instrumental tunes, with a perfect A&M finish – one of the coolest, grooviest albums ever recorded for the legendary label! The set was put together by the team of guitarist John Pisano and French horn player Willie Ruff – and it's got this wonderful sense of balance, timing, and compression in the sound – all produced to perfection by Herb Albert, with a sophisticated groove that goes way past any of the hoke of the more popular A&M instrumental music of the 60s! The groove is incredibly gentle – bossa-inspired, to be sure – but with that LA easy approach that only A&M could do so well – a sublime sound that's held us breathless for years. Titles include "The Drifter", "I'll Never Fall In Love Again", "Under The Blanket", "Amancer", "Slim", "Soon", "Stop", and "Chris". CD features 2 bonus mono tracks too! (SHM-CD pressing.)  © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc.
