CD (Item 584603) Arista/Get On Down, 1978 — Condition: New Copy
A great effort from George Clinton's ringer on the keys – the great Bernie Worrell! Like a lot of the other solo albums P-Funk family members were cutting throughout the 70s, this one was recorded with production help from George Clinton, and features appearances by other P-Funk players, such as Eddie Hazel, Gary Shider, Bootsy Collins, Parlet, the Brides of Funkenstein, the Horny Horns, and others – a record that's very much out of the P-Funk bag of funky tricks, which is nothing to complain about. What makes this a real Worrell solo effort is that Bernie stepping up front on the vocals and song writing, and though there's some really nice keyboard work on a variety of moogs and synths, they're just as nicely integrated into the ensemble as you'd hear on any other Clinton act from the time.
