Onye Obula Zoba Isi Onweya

Add Item to Want List
LP (Item 492090) Klimt, 1981 — Condition: New Copy

A sweet set of grooves from Sir Warrior – a record that seems to combine older high life modes with some of the electrified energy of the Nigerian Afro Funk scene of the 70s – a very hip blend that's spun out here over the course of two side-long tracks! Instrumentation is heavy on guitar – as in older high life – but the rhythms are especially hypnotic, and pulsate beautifully over the course of the long tracks – really setting the scene for extended vocal and guitar passages over the top! Titles include "Ndo Ma Ike" and "Onye Obula Zoba Isi Onweya".  © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc.
