Brotherhood (180 gram pressing)
LP (Item 614975) Factory/Rhino, 1986 — Condition: New Copy
The steely cover's an apt one – as New Order have still largely held onto their edge here – those raspy guitars and moodier moments that first marked their early work – all elements that keep things compelling amidst some of the more tuneful moments of the songs! There's definitely a lot more hooks than before, but most tracks are still pretty far from commercial pop – and if anything, showcase the preference for darker sounds that would mark the alt rock underground that was springing up in the US, clearly a generation inspired by New Order's initial experiments. Titles include "All Day Long", "Weirdo", "Paradise", "State Of The Nation", "Angel Dust", "Every Little Counts", and "As It Is When It Was". (Super-heavy pressing – better than the original!) © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | ||||||
