Love Life (Japanese paper sleeve edition)
CD (Item 537624) A&M/Universal (Japan), 1981 — Condition: New Copy
A real stormer from Brenda Russell – cut early in her big 80s stretch, and a set that's done with some no-nonsense backings that are a perfect fit for her vocals! The album's much more of a straight soul set than some of her later crossover work – still with enough gentle moments to let Russell hit those sensitive notes she does so well – but also focused with that great groove that A&M Records was bringing to its soul music sessions at the time. Titles include "Rainbow", "Love Life", "Something I Like To Do", "Lucky", "If You Love", "Thank You", and "Sensitive Man". (SHM CD pressing.) © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
