Four Steps Toward A Cultural Evolution
LP (Item 606792) Label K, 1980 — Condition: New Copy
A great document of a little-known Seattle band – The Beakers, a quirky combo who lasted for just a year at the start of the 80s! Despite the group's Northwest roots, they've got a sound that would have been right at home in the London scene of the same time – an almost-funky blend of punkish modes that's heavy on basslines and nervous guitars, and which echoes sounds made by the Brit generation that included A Certain Ratio, The Slits, and Delta 5! Titles include "Thinking Postmodern", "What's Important", "3 Important Domestic Inventions", "Third In B", "Christmas Letter From Home", "Football Season's In Full Swing", and "Dinosaurus Mambo". © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
