A rootsy little record from the LeBron brothers – one that still has some of the darkly soulful touches of the group's Latin Soul years, but which comes across in a stronger 70s return to tradition mode! The piano of Jose LeBron is still strongly in the lead here – really setting up some nice changes in the tunes, even when they're in a more traditional mode – and vocals are by Pablo LeBron, who has a great way of shifting back and forth, and cascading with the energy of the rhythms! Titles include "La Envidia y La Tumba", "Moros Y Cristianos", "Dulzura", and "Como Son Las Cosas".  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Great grooves – but a strange title! We're not really sure that Cotique sold a million copies of any of these cuts – as they were mostly obscure Latin Soul numbers – so we're a bit surprised to hear the "smashes" in the title. But we will say that the record's an ... LP, Vinyl record album

One of a few albums recorded by the enigmatic vocalist Lupo – a strangely-voiced singer with a trill sound that's as compelling as his name! The album's mostly a straight ahead Latin set with a good range of material handled in traditional fashion, but it does feature one great Latin Soul ... LP, Vinyl record album

Sessions like this are proof that Jimmy was one of the most fantastic organ players ever – as his work with large arrangements (supplied here by Claus Ogerman) always seems to groove better than his work with small combos. His sound is impeccable, and he soars ahead of the rest of the ... LP, Vinyl record album

Cotillion, 1980. Near Mint-
Great smooth soul from Wee Gee – a wonderful little record from the dawn of the 80s! The album's a great one, thanks largely to Vernon Bullock, who wrote, arranged, and produced with that uptempo modern style that he brought to his best work of the 70s. The soaring title track is a 10+ ... LP, Vinyl record album
