Blues Groove
LP (Item 49002) Swingville, Late 50s — Condition: Used
Nice laidback blowing session that brings together the talents of guitarist Tiny Grimes and tenorist Coleman Hawkins. Hawkins is at his gutsy best here, and really kicks in deep next to Grimes' bluesy guitar. Other players on the session include Ray Bryant and Musa Kaleem, and the tracks are all long, with titles like "Blues Wail", "A Smooth One", and "Soul Station". Also issued under Grimes' name as a leader – with the same title. (Green label pressing.) © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
