CD (Item 614388) Born Bad (France), Late 50s — Condition: New Copy

Amazing early rock and roll from France – a heck of a lot of great tracks before the French scene really started getting any global attention! The music here is a mix of American rockish inspiration and French postwar grooving – which means that there's often a jazzy flourish mixed in with the guitars and drums – usually upbeat, and very lively – of the mode that might have played well to the small Parisian clubs we love to see portrayed in New Wave films! We'd never heard most of the tracks here – and most appear to be from rare 7" singles or EP pressings – a treasure trove of rare music throughout. Titles include "Rock & Roll" by Jesus Ramirez, "Rock Aie" by Chou Rave Hageur, "Rockabilly" by Les Six Trognes, "Ferme La Bouche" by Taps Miller, "Rock C'Est Un Rock" by Amy Anahid, "Mademoiselle Rock & Roll" by Andre Fandrel, "C'Est C'Accord" by Catherine Caps, and "Taille Dans Le Rock" by Admond Taillet.  © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc.
