Adan Y Eva – Garden Of Eden
CD (Item 607189) Rico, 1973 — Condition: New Copy
Great rootsy sounds from Orquesta Colon – a group with some tight direction from Tony Pabon, and some even better percussion on the bottom – which helps give the record an even rawer sound than most other salsa of the time! The arrangements, by Willie Mullings, are great – very forceful, and right on the money – using the tight horns in the lead, and Willie's piano to drive the whole thing along with some very brooding notes that bring in a strong undercurrent of soul. The album's easily one of the best ever from the group – and titles include "Adan Y Eva", "Canta Y No Llores", "Pedro Simon", "Dream Inspirations", "Pa'Lante", and a Latin soul take on "By The Time I Get To Phoenix". © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
