The set's compiled from a range of rare albums purchased by DJ Smokestack on a trip through India in the summer of 2007 -- a visit that must have been one hell of a crate-digging adventure, judging from the wicked grooves in the set! Smokestack really goes for the best of the best here -- sorting out cuts with massively funky drums, weird sitar bits, offbeat vocals, and other hip touches -- very much on the funkiest side of the Bollywood sound of the 70s.
