This Beat Is Mine (voc, inst)
12-inch (Item 69268) SAM, 1981 — Condition: Used
The beat is definitely Vicki's – even though the groove reminds us a fair bit of the Evelyn Champagne King song "I'm In Love"! But we can hardly complain about any sort of copycat soul – because Vicki's tune is plenty darn great too – lots of great 80s groove keyboards under the vocals, and a great crossover hook that just won't quit!
