Interprete Les Musiques De Georges Brassens
CD (Item 593538) Universal (France), 1974 — Condition: New Copy
One of the most unique albums ever from legendary French arranger Jean-Claude Vannier – a special project based on the music of Georges Brassens, originally intended to celebrate Brassens' 20th anniversary of recording for Philips Records! Brassens tunes are the stuff of legend – usually celebrated for the dark commentary of their lyrics – completely recast here as instrumentals by Vannier, who uses different instrumental selections as the "voice" of the songs, in ways that still retain the edge of Georges' intentions, yet really push the sounds into completely different territory overall! Titles include "Le 22 Septembre", "Les Copains D'Abord", "Jeanne", "Bonhomme", "Les Sabots D'Helene", and "Stances A Un Cambrioleur". © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
