Very groovy work from Peggy – a set of tunes tone with a nice little Latin flair! The tunes themselves are all Broadway hits of the late 50s and early 60s, but they're redone wonderfully here – so that they often bear little resemblance to the originals. Jack Marshall handled the arrangements with a swinging and jazzy sound – really throwing in some tight syncopated rhythms to make the album crackle more than most of Peggy's other work from the time. Titles include "Hey There", "I Am In Love", "Heart", "On The Street Where You Live", "The Party's Over", "Dance Only With Me", and "I Enjoy Being A Girl". (Rainbow label pressing. Cover has light wear.)  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Like In Love
Capitol, Mid 60s. Near Mint-
A nice early one by Nancy, and a record that shows her roots as a jazz singer, by pairing her lovely voice with swinging arrangements by Billy May. The tracks are mostly standards, but Nancy gives them a nice 60s pop twist, and keeps things nice and sexy with her sultry voice. Titles include ... LP, Vinyl record album

Rare US issue of this amazing album by the legendary French vocal group Les Double Six. A wonderful bit of pop vocal work from Tommy Edwards – precursor to some of the smoother male soul singers of the 60s, and done in a round and warm style that we really love!
