Electrified funk with Shock – a group who come across with almost enough energy to warrant the lightning bolt on the cover of this record! There's a great mix here between 70s ensemble funk and leaner 80s groove – a sound that's a bit warmer than some of Shock's contemporaries, and still very much in the modes you might hear from some of the best Mercury Records funk groups of a few years before.
