A whopping batch of tracks from this funky bass legend! Larry Graham had a huge influence on mainstream 70s funk – both with his group Graham Central Station, and later in his own solo work. This set's a great package that dips through Larry's legacy on both fronts – and it features a total of 33 tracks in all, including some rare single versions, and a few rare bits! The set comes with a nice booklet too – and titles include "Hair", "Can You Handle It?", "Earthquake", "Last Train", "Now Do You Wanna Dance", "Star Walk", "Is It Love?", "Sooner Or Later", "Dear Prudence", "Entrow", "The Jam", "One In A Million Years", and "By Popular Demand". Deluxe reissue with 9 bonus tracks including 6 previously unreleased demo tracks! A really unique album for Chaka Khan – one in which she teams up with a host of jazz artists to craft a classic-styled set of vocals! Given that Chaka was at the height of her 80s groove solo career at the time of this one, the move is a surprising one – but also a great chance for ... CD

Although this 15 track compilation doesn't even begin to cover the full scope of this great messed-up funky group from LA, it's just about the only way you'll get their best stuff – because it's pretty darn hard to find in any format! The CD runs the gamut of the group's output – from ... CD

Yipes! They didn't do a very good job on packaging this set, but it is an official release of some of DJ's stellar soul sides for Columbia from the late 70s. DJ's voice is fantastic on the material, with a deep rich baritone that we'd rate right up there with singers like Jon Lucien or Jerry ... CD
