Tribute To The Late Tiny Bradshaw – The Great Composer – He Wrote & Played Them All

CD (Item 604364) King, Early 50s — Condition: New Copy

Of all the R&B bandleaders of the 50s, Tiny Bradshaw was one of the wildest! He had a tight rolling groove that managed to infuse his whole band with a lively sense of rhythm that was often unmatched by some of the other sleepier groups of the time – and he also managed to hire some of the better saxophone talents of the time, which means that some of his tracks are filled with wails, screams, and pops that are right out of an Albert Ayler session! This album's one of his few ever – and titles include "Stack Of Dollars", "Soft", "Ping Pong", "Light", "South Of The Orient", "Train Kept A Rollin", "Later", and "Cat Fruit".  © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc.
