A beautiful book, and a killer companion to the CD set of the same name – a very rich look at the recorded legacy of the Civil Rights era – particularly the more righteous albums of the late 60s and early 70s! The book's overflowing with great photos of vintage albums and singles, and is lovingly put together so that the words wrap around the images, with personal reflections, historical details, and even key artist information in some sidebar sections!
