The core combo features organ, guitar, and drums -- with occasional horns added from time to time -- and most numbers here step off with a really badass instrumental groove that runs from mod 60s soul to gritty 70s funk, with a few jazzy riffs thrown into the mix from time to time, especially on the organ lines. Kylie Auldist brings in some deep soul vocals on two tracks -- and Falcon Williams sings on two more -- and the whole thing's got a lively, upbeat groove -- and an all-classic sound that's like finding a pile of rare funky 45s stashed away in the back of a dusty old shop.
