One of the four essential quintet sides Miles Davis cut for Prestige in the mid 50s – all modern jazz classics by anyone's measure, along with Steamin', Relaxin' and Cookin'. These quintet sides established Davis and John Coltrane as a significant force to be reckoned with, and helped set the tone for much of the small group and post bop jazz cut in that era.
