A beautifully-done look at the cover art of Prestige Records -- quite possibly the nicest-packaged record art book we've seen to date! The hardcover volume is somewhat slim, but really puts a lot into presentation -- offering up vivid cover images of Prestige releases that start with the early 10" years, running through the blowing session scene of the late 50s, all the way up to the soul jazz and jazz funk years of the label! The book's got the class and heft of a rare 10" album -- and although there's an introduction from Ira Gitler at the start, and credits for each cover, most of the focus here is on image -- which is a nice change from some of the too-texty record art books.
