Complete Liberty Singles
CD (Item 614231) Liberty/Real Gone, Mid 60s — Condition: New Copy
An amazing tribute to the genius of Timi Yuro – a 60s singer with a sound that's unlike anyone else we can think of! Yuro's got an incredible voice right from the start – a quality that's undeniable in the company of all these great singles – but almost even more compelling is the way she effortlessly slides between styles – bringing together bits of soul music, blues, jazz vocals, country, and even some crossover pop – all into a mode that's completely her own, and which only seems to multiply the power of the genres she dips into – where other singers might dilute them! This overstuffed package brings together all of Yuro's famous singles for Liberty Records, most in original mono mixes – with a heavy focus on material from 1961 to 1964, plus a few surprising entries from the late 60s too. Titles include "Interlude", "Wrong", "I'm Movin On (parts 1 & 2)", "Thirteenth Hour", "Insult To Injury", "Just About The Time", "I Know", "Satan Never Sleeps", "A Mother's Love", "I Believe", "Smile", "She Really Loves You", "Hurt", "Count Everything", "Look Down", "Are You Sure", "Permanently Lonely", and "Call Me". © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
