The slew of singles and trio of full lengths that we'd heard prior to This Time have all been really impressive – a mix of breakbeat funk era and classic inspiration – fleshed out brilliantly with great players. This one reaches farther and sinks deeper with a more stylistically diverse set of sounds and one strong song after another – with elements of uptempo 60s soul, 70s cinematic funk, Afrobeat, jazz funk and funky hip hop – an eclectic stew that's tasty as can be! Guests include guitarist Eddie Roberts, Wax & Herbal T, Jake Morely, Angeline Morrison and excellent studio players.
