Don't Dream Of Anybody But Me
CD (Item 606097) El (UK), Late 50s — Condition: New Copy
Wonderful early work from Monica Zetterlund – a sweet package that brings together five early EP releases that represented some of Monica's first moments on record! If you don't know Zetterlund, she's an amazing singer – one of the most important modernists of the late 50s, on both sides of the Atlantic – with a sharply creative voice that not only blows away the best American vocalists of the time, like June Christy or Helen Merrill – but which also paves the way for future singers like Sheila Jordan or Karin Krog! This package has Zetterlund singing in both English and Swedish – often localized versions of American jazz numbers – and titles include "Summertime", "Yes Indeed", "I Want To Be His Girl", "Med Andra Ord", "Detour Ahead", "Don't Dream Of Anybody But Me", "I Could Write A Book", "Your Love Was Sprung On Me", "Love Lips", "I Dina Kvartar", and "Gor Det". CD also features bonus tracks by Lars Gullin and Jan Johansson. © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
