An excellent bit of modern soul by Debra Laws – really her only album, but an instant classic nonetheless! The set's an impeccable batch of smooth tracks – recorded with production by brothers Ronnie and Hubert – and Debra's vocals have a sophisticated jazzy touch that sets the record strongly above most other female soul records of the time. Includes the incredible title cut "Very Special" – a classic mellow groover that we'll never tire of – plus loads of other great tracks, like "Be Yourself", "Your Love", and "Long As We're Together". (Includes the printed inner sleeve. Cover has some wear & a spot of price sticker residue.)  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Soaring grooves and mellow moments – a perfect blend of 70s soul styles, summed up here beautifully by Enchantment! Sublime work from Frankie Beverly and Maze – smooth, mellow, and perfectly put together, with a level of care and class that you'd be hard pressed to find in many of the group's contemporaries! The album's not one of the group's most famous, but that makes it even more of a treat, as you'll ... LP, Vinyl record album
