A mix of acoustic roots, Brazilian modes, and classical forms – a lovely pairing of the mandolins of Mike Marshall and Caterina Lichtenberg, turned towards a host of beautiful compositions! The music here runs from Bach forward to the 20th century – and given the inherent warmth in Marshall's music, there's a very contemporary vibe to the whole set – despite the source of some of the tunes – and at points, there's some strong Brazilian elements too, especially on the numbers penned by Jacob Do Bandolim.
