Y Sigue La Cosa
CD (Item 605059) Montuno, 1982 — Condition: New Copy
An 80s session, but one with a really rootsy feel – that great side of the New York underground represented by players like congolero Armando Sanchez! The set's heavy on lead percussion from Armando, yet also features great vocals from Tito Contreras – who's got a blue-toned quality that really brings a great sense of feeling to the tunes – as does the mix of trumpet, trombone, and tres – the latter of which is especially nice. Titles include "No Me Digas Corazon", "Por Delante No", "Oye Mi Consejo", "Mariana", and "Palo Mayombe". © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
