Hard Not To Like It

LP (Item 6764) Philadelphia International, 1977 — Condition: Used

LP, Vinyl record album

4.70 11

One of the strong Philly LPs by Archie Bell and the Drells (and they really did make the transition to Philly pretty well). Side one has some of their more blatent attempts to appeal to the then hot disco crowd, but side two has them back in a great easy soul two-step sound, like "It's Hard Not To Like You", "There's No Other Like You" and "Real Good Feeling". (White label promo, including the lyric sleeve. Cover has a radio station tracklist sticker & a promo stamp.)  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Enchantment
United Artists, 1976. Very Good+
Soaring grooves and mellow moments – a perfect blend of 70s soul styles, summed up here beautifully by Enchantment! The album's one of the group's greatest – and certainly one that's been very well-remembered around these parts – thanks to some rock-solid arrangements from Johnny ... LP, Vinyl record album

On The Loose
Westbound, 1973. Near Mint-
A pretty sweet follow-up to Denise LaSalle's debut for Westbound – and like that set, another album recorded down in Memphis – with a razor-sharp sound that's far better than the treatment she got in later years! Arrangements are by Bowlegs Miller, who helped on the first – and ... LP, Vinyl record album
