Turkish electro folk from late 70s Germany! Derdiyoklar Ikilisi is the duo of singer, saz and guitar player Ali Ekber Aydogan and drummer & singer Ihsan Guvercin – delivering hypnotic and melodic music here that are steeped in traditional Turkish music, though played with a late 70s western music eccentricities. Repetitive rhythms and melodies blend with synths, percussion and echo. The vocals are really nice in the set, and there's an easy going, disco era vibe at play. Wild, but accessible sounds! Titles include "Yadoy", "Alman Marii", "Fethiyem", "Halay", "Sofor Gardas", "Eminem", "Ata Sozleri", "Dervis Emmi", "Karadeniz Turkusu". (Limited to 500 copies.)  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Desco/Daptone, 1998. New Copy (reissue)
One of the greatest grooves from the legendary Desco Records years – a brilliant album of modern Afro Funk done by The Daktaris – in a groove that's just as hard-hitting as any of Fela's work from the 70s! The album was one of the first to bring back an older African style to current ... LP, Vinyl record album
