Diggin Down Argentina Vol 2 – Nuggets From The Rioplatense Scene 1967 to 1976Various
LP (Item 616161) Crazy Apple (Spain), Late 60s/Early 70s — Condition: New Copy
A heady selection of underground grooves from the Argentine scene – a surprisingly strong hotbed for tripped-out sounds from the late 60s and early 70s! There's plenty of fuzz on the guitars here – and as the music moves into the early 70s, a hard rockish feel starts to come in too – yet still with a quality that's more psych than any sounds that were showing up in the Anglo scene at the time – a possible hint that things may have been even more interesting down Argentina way! Titles include "Ilusion De Libertad" by Caballo Vapor, "Todo Con Eso" by Jumbo, "Eva" by Provos, "Noche Ciega" by Formacion 2000, "Recorrido Sin Final" by Kon Tiki, "Mr Baker" by Mel Williams, "La Casa Que Un Dia" by Bosques, and "Sally Row" by Pacific Band. © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
