A double set of deftly mixed Blue Note jazz, soul and funk, vocals and more from the 60s to the fusion ready 70s and a few sweet slices from the contemporary roster – the warm and sunny Heat Up and the more laidback Simmer Down – 2CDs nicely spun by Maestro! The numbers flow masterfully from one to the next, but it's each flows nice and long for the most part – Maestro's not out to truncate of over edit, it's all about the flow.
